A fallen boxer.A woman with a broken dream.A competition…
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?
REAL – April 9 2013
Book #1 of The Real, Raw & Ripped Series
Mature New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance - recommended for ages 18 and up.

Real propelled my love for new adult/contemporary romance, again. It's more than a book filled with lust, and sex, there is a good story line underneath it all, although nothing compares to the heat that is Remington Tate!

What sent me a flame with hot lust for this book, had to be the first half. The sexual tension was so thick you could carve it with a knife, and for me, I LOVED every minute of it.

Real is the story of two people seeing each other and instantly wanting each other. Now, I know what your saying "instant love" -not for me- right? Wrong, this book was not about instant love, but instant lust! You know the type, your at the gym, in a store, whatever, and you spot "him" he catches your eye, sends your heart racing, pulse pounding, "wet" between the legs kind of feeling, PLEASE, tell me you've been there! Anywhoo, that is what we get between Brooke, and Remy.

Brooke was an Olympic competitor until an injury forces her to switch careers to Sports Rehabilitation. She decides to let herself be dragged to an underground fight with her friend, if for nothing else but to get her name out and hopefully score some potential clients. What she doesn't expect is Remington Tate! Remington is a fighter. He's RAW, RIPPED, and SMOKING HOT! The fighting arena is filled with drenching woman screaming for this stud, and as Brooke gets caught up in the moment, she loses herself with the excitement of the fight, and with the intensity that's Remington. Remy, locks gazes with her, and you can feel the intensity, and lust dripping off the pages. Right from that point, Brooke knows she wants Remy. She's instantly lit up with everything Remy. Having his "people" seek her out, she's offered a job becoming Remy's personal Sports Rehab therapist. She wants the job, but is nervous about being so close to Remy, and controlling her feelings for him.

Remy is smoldering, but he's reserved, quiet, and tends to keep himself closed off. He loves music and uses it to relax, and eventually relay's  his feelings to Brooke. There is soooo much push and pull with this book. Two people who have instant chemistry, and basically fireworks explode when they are together. But, they don't jump each others bones right away, it's a slow crawl, and the build up was my favorite part of the whole book.

Within in the first half of the book we get intense feelings, the second half is filled with more emotions. As these two spend more time together, Brooke learns more about Remy, and why he's so reserved, and quiet, and why he's surrounded by so many people who are willing to protect Remy, not only from himself but keep him from losing his sh*t.

I really cannot begin to express my feelings for this book. I really loved it. It's more than a book filled with lust, and sex, there is a story line underneath it all. Remy has issues, and Brooke deals with a sister who just so happens to be sucked into the same world as Brooke, but in a bad way. As Brooke tries to find a way to save her sister, things turn really intense, and she finds herself with Remy's #1 enemy, Scorpion. He has his hold over Brooke's sister, and Brooke needs to do whatever it takes to save her. Remy finds out that Brooke consorts with the enemy and he seems to shatter, and break down, as one of the biggest fight of the year goes down between him and Scorpion he shuts down. Will he rise and become champion, or will he let himself get beat down for the love for Brooke?

5/5 Steamy Intense Heat

“Why’d you want to have sex with me? To have a f*cking adventure? What was I supposed to be? Your one-night-f*cking stand? I’m every woman’s adventure, damn you, and I don’t want to be yours. I want to be your f*cking REAL. You get that? If I f*ck you, I want you to belong to me. To be mine. I want you to give yourself to me—not Riptide!”

"When I take you, you'll be mine," he says, a soft promise in my ear. He slides his thumb along my jaw, then gently kisses my earlobe. "You need to be certain." His eyes are so hot that I'm on fire with the lust in them, and the word "mine" makes the empty place between my legs swell with longing. "I want you to know me first, and then, I want you to know me first, and then, I want you to let me know if you still want me to take you."

"You'll leave me the second it gets too steep, and you'll leave me with nothing-when I ant you like I've never wanted anything in my life. Your all I think about, dream about. I get high and low and it's all about you now, it's not even about me anymore. I can't sleep, can't think, can't concentrate worth shit anymore, and it's all because I want to be the "fucking" one for you and as soon as you realize what I am, all I'll be is a f*cking mistake!"

Thoughtless, is a self published book, that first came out in 2009. Highly successful in the Indie category, winning numerous awards it finally has been picked up by a publisher, Gallery, an imprint of Simon & Schuster has re-released the books in paperback as well as e-copies. The third highly anticipated book in the series, Reckless is due to be released March 2013.

Passionate, addicting, heartbreaking, and frustrating all wrapped up into a neat little Thoughtless package! With an intense plot, that had me pissed, excited, and intoxicated. I just COULD. NOT. PUT. THIS. BOOK. DOWN. and I'm so happy that I was approved for the second book, Effortless, because I tore into it right away.

I'm going to start by saying, putting all your feelings on a touchy subject of cheating, betrayal, and a really careless protagonist should not stop you from reading this book, because it is intense, the characters, the plot, etc.. has made some people not enjoy this book like they should be, but the way I looked at it is, it's real life, with real feelings, a rawness that can be felt throughout the pages, and a REALLY HOT SQUEE WORTHY ROCKER *dies* Man I could almost hate Kiera, are VERY lucky protagonist. She can be so annoying in this book, and seemed oblivious to whom she was hurting at the time.

But, let me explain, Kiera a young college girl, is in love with her awesome, sweet, good looking boyfriend, Denny, awww, right?
So in love in fact she decides to move cross country with him, to a new school, while he starts a new career. Basically, strapped for cash he manages to score a place with his old friend/"brother". They will be renting a room with Kellan, a >HOT< lead singer, to a uber popular band D-Bags or Douchebags, whichever fits the mood your in.

Now, I'm not sure about you, but when I was young, carefree, and slightly naïve  , like Kiera I could easily *drool* for Kellan, and believe me she does a great job in the beginning to keep things platonic with him. She does love Denny, and their relationship seems to be pretty great, but when Denny is offered a job assignment that takes him to another state for a short time, Kiera is lost without him. She is sad, and lonely. Kellan, "the rock god" plays the good guy, watching over his friends girlfriend. Driving her to school and work, trying to uplift her spirits, and always looking out for her, their friendship continues to grow stronger, and when Kiera hears some not so good news from Denny, Kellan is her rock. Of course being that close to a sexy, nice guy, like Kellan, screws up your feelings, and seeing what she thinks is a loss with Denny, her and Kellan take a passionate turn to becoming more than friends, but with feelings confused, and Denny coming back into the picture it seems like all bets are off with Kellan, and Kiera wants to forget what happened between them and go back to just being friends--but I mean really how can you go back--especially with a body, like Kellan's. What plays out throughout the book is how Kiera and Kellan go through an emotional roller coaster of feelings for one another, as she tries to stay as faithful as she can to her sweet Denny.

She plays the puppet master between these two men, and it's not fun seeing the way she continues to hurt Kellan, and Denny {although he is kept in the dark, of her betrayal} But, like most people know, or learn to know is that lies, and betrayals always come back to bite you, and bite Kiera they do, as all the lies are quickly becoming unraveled and passionate continuing to heat up, she must make a choice, a choice that will hurt one of these men. A choice that she finds she cannot make and holds on to hope that maybe she can keep both of these men. A choice that seems to be already made and maybe both puppet strings will cut themselves from her forever....

I must say at times I really disliked the way Kiera seemed to play both of these men, but she did do it in a naïve sort of way. Not realizing what her circumstances will lead her, and which man she wanted to be with, and what she will lose if she makes the wrong choice is something that we all can relate too. This book was a little long, with a plot that seemed to never end, but it was a fantastic ending and looking back, now I can say I really enjoyed reading this book, and the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because of the way the middle seemed to become repetitive, and lost me for a little bit, but it did satisfy me and like I said the ending was stellar, and had me feeling for Kellan on an emotional level.

Since this book is a smexy read let me just say, it is hot, and is filled with great sex scenes, but it is more than that it is a great story. It had me falling for Kellan 100%, even though I didn't agree with his choices, and he does come across as a "Douchebag" at times, I couldn't help falling for him, and cannot wait to finish the second book.

4.5/5 Roses

“I don't know how to let you back in."
My heart beat spiked and I closed my eyes when he whispered,"
I don't know how to keep you out either.”

“I gently grabbed his face with my hands. "Don't leave me. You are mine...and I'm yours. I want you...and you can have me."

“I’ve never wanted anyone, like I want you. Every girl is you to me. You’re all I see…you’re all I want.”

“What if I don’t choose you, Kellan? What will you do?”
He looked away, a tear rolling down his cheek. “I’ll leave, Kiera. I’ll leave, and you and Denny can have your happily ever after.” He looked back at me. “You wouldn’t even need to tell him about me. Eventually, the two of you…” his voice broke and another tear fell on his cheek, “the two of you would get married, and have children, and have a great life.”
I fought back a sob. “And you? What happens to you in that scenario?”
“I…get by. And I miss you, every day,” he whispered.”
